You left the party. You said you’d be right back, but I could tell you needed to go. It’s ok. I know you wanted to stay and dance all night with us, but you had to get going. Wasn’t the music on fire? Everyone heard us singing at the top of our lungs and I laughed so hard when you did that ridiculous move I love so much. But I could tell that you were tired, weren’t feeling your best. I wanted the night to last forever, and I know you did too, but at some point you just gotta go home. And so you did.

I’m going to stay for a while. I think I’m going to dance to a few more songs. I’ll be sure to tell everyone you said “goodbye” and will see them later. And when I see you I’ll tell you everything that happened that you missed and we can laugh about tonight all over again. Tomorrow.
